Breast augmentation

Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation is a procedure that enhances women’s confidence by improving the shape and size of their breasts. Many factors, such as attractiveness, hormonal changes during pregnancy and breastfeeding, weight fluctuations, smoking, and small breast size, can affect the appearance of the breasts at different stages of a woman’s life.

Dr. Samir Ghoraba specializes in breast reconstruction and augmentation using various types of fillers, including endogenous fats in certain cases. With his expertise, he achieves high-quality and excellent results.

Silicone inserts are commonly used in breast augmentation surgery. This surgical procedure, performed under general anesthesia, typically takes 45 to 60 minutes. Dr. Samir Ghoraba carefully selects the appropriate size of silicone filling based on each patient’s desires and the condition of their skin and tissues. The surgery involves a small incision made either 4-6 cm below the breast or around the brown areola. The placement of the filling, in front or behind the chest muscle, is determined during the examination.

Dr. Samir Ghoraba utilizes soft, high-quality silicone implants and high-adhesion silicone to ensure permanent results without any tissue damage or complications. The shape of the implant, whether lacrimal or circular, is determined based on the patient’s preferences.

Breast augmentation with silicone does not impact breastfeeding. It offers numerous advantages, such as quick and guaranteed results, the use of body-friendly materials, the achievement of the desired aesthetic appearance, affordability depending on

the type of filling used, and its status as the most common plastic surgery worldwide. Additionally, silicone breast augmentation provides a natural look and feel.

The recovery period after silicone breast augmentation is relatively straightforward. Patients are discharged from the hospital on the same day, usually two hours after the surgery. The procedure is generally painless, and regular analgesics like Paracetamol effectively relieve any discomfort. Resting for 24 hours is sufficient, and vigorous exercise should be avoided for six weeks. Simple activities like walking and running can be resumed after three weeks, and normal and married life can be practiced three weeks after the surgery.

Although Dr. Samir Ghoraba occasionally uses autologous fat for breast augmentation, breast augmentation with silicone implants is considered the best and safest method, providing excellent and permanent results.

Breast augmentation is recommended for individuals with small and attractive breast size, those who have undergone resection due to tumors, those seeking an attractive feminine shape, those who have experienced breast contraction due to improper dieting, and those with asymmetrical breasts.

Complications from silicone implants are rare. They are not associated with breast cancer and are used for breast reconstruction in patients with breast tumors. Capsular contracture, a rare problem that may occur years after the surgery, can be easily treated by changing the implant’s position and removing the capsule.

Dr. Samir provides post-breast augmentation instructions

to ensure optimal recovery. It is important to get out of bed early after surgery to prevent postoperative complications. Assistance may be required for the first 24-48 hours, so having someone present during this time is advisable. Patients should follow a light diet, gradually returning to their regular food intake. Arm movement should be minimized, and avoiding heavy lifting is necessary. Wearing a corset day and night for the first month after surgery is crucial. Strenuous activities, heavy lifting, and driving should be avoided for three weeks. Swelling and bruising are expected but will subside within 3-4 months. Itching and numbness may occur but will gradually decrease. Patients may initially feel that the filling is larger than desired, but this sensation will diminish within 4-6 weeks.
